GEOPLAT in RAC Dialogues: ‘Geothermal energy: a renewable, profitable and constant energy’.

The Real Academia de Ciencias Exactas, Físicas y Naturales de España (RAC) will bring the nature and characteristics of geothermal energy closer through a colloquium among accredited experts.

The symposium will address the nature of geothermal energy, the conditions necessary for its use and the main scientific and technological challenges currently being worked on to improve knowledge and use of this resource. The current status and future potential of geothermal energy in Spain will also be analysed.

This session, organised in collaboration with the Institute of Geology and Mineral Exploration (IGME) and the Geological Society of Spain, will be attended by GEOPLAT members Celestino García de la Noceda (Platform Steering Group) and Álvaro Arnáiz (Repsol), as well as Cristina de Santiago Buey (IGME), Antonio Cendrero (RAC) and Alfonso Muñoz Martin (Dean of Geological Sciences, Complutense University of Madrid).
